Salera Makes an Impact: Vote for the Taunton Daily Gazette Football Player of the Week for Week 7

Another exciting week of high school football has wrapped up in the Greater Taunton area.

Taunton (4-3, 1-2 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) rallied in the fourth quarter to earn a 21-14 non-league win over Milton. Bridgewater-Raynham (1-6, 1-1 Southeast Conference) battled hard but came up short against Dartmouth, 35-22.

Bristol-Plymouth (2-5, 0-2 Mayflower Large) struck first in its matchup against Tri-County but couldn’t hold on, falling 22-8. Meanwhile, Dighton-Rehoboth (2-5, 0-3 South Coast Blue) made the most of its trip to the Cape, securing a 35-26 non-league victory over Nauset.

In last week’s fan poll, Dighton-Rehoboth’s Sean Grady earned Player of the Week honors for Week 6, collecting 65% of the vote. Teammates Gavin Salera (12%) and Joel DaSilva (8%) completed a clean sweep of the top three spots for the Falcons.

    Delivered a standout performance with 11 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns, plus six catches for 61 yards and another score.

  • Ryan Donovan, Bristol-Plymouth
    Completed 4 of 10 passes for 31 yards, a touchdown, and an interception vs. Tri-County.

    Recovered a fumble on defense against Tri-County.
